Division of Business & Professional Studies
The Behavioral Health Studies program is designed to meet today’s growing workforce demands to prepare culturally aware professionals working with vulnerable populations. The program combines courses in social sciences – primarily psychology and sociology – with seminars and field work in the behavioral health services field. In addition to obtaining the necessary professional skills such as case management, report writing, assessment, interventions, and the fundamentals of behavioral health, students gain a broad background in the liberal arts. Upon graduation, students are prepared to work in a variety of behavioral health agencies related to their educational credentials and work experience. Upon successful completion, the Associate in Arts Degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Behavioral Health is awarded.
