Liberal Arts: Communication (AA)

This communication program combines liberal arts and business to provide the basic knowledge and skills needed for a communications-related career in business. The curriculum offers students the flexibility to develop a concentration that meets a student’s particular interests and needs.

Upon successful completion, the Associate in Arts Degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Communication is awarded.

Any two History courses.

Literature Elective:


Any two Literature courses.

Math Electives:


100-Level Mathematics or higher (not MAC)

Social Science Electives:


Anthropology, Economics, Geography, Government, History, Law, Psychology, Sociology

Graduation Competency


Quantitative skills is a MassBay graduation competency for associate degree programs. Prior to graduation, students must demonstrate this competency by completing a 100-level math course (not MAC); or placing into a 200-level mathematics course.
