HM 208 INTRODUCTION TO TOURISM This course introduces students to one of the world’s largest industries - travel and tourism. The socio-cultural, economic, environmental, and political impacts of the tourism industry are studied. Tourism policy, products, and services are introduced. Students will explore ways for tourism destinations and industries to foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The future of tourism is examined through the study of tourism planning and development. Domestic and international career opportunities are presented. Lecture: 2.5 hours per week. 3 Credits
