LI 104 CHILDREN’S LITERATURE

Through exposure to a wide range of children’s books, authors and illustrators, students will develop an understanding of the importance of children’s literature in the early childhood education classroom. Students will gain abilities in evaluating the quality of children’s books and making appropriate selections for young children, acquire a repertoire of effective techniques for using children’s literature effectively in the classroom and learn ways that children’s literature can develop literacy.
